Eric Eugene Rothrock, age 41 of West Salem, IL passed from this life to the next on Sunday, November
9, 2014 at Barnes Jewish Hospital, St. Louis, MO.
Eric was born in Olney, IL on July 23, 1973 to Edward and Jean (Williams) Rothrock.
Eric enjoyed running construction equipment, and was a Demolition Derby enthusiast. He was a welder by trade and worked for many large companies in that capacity.
He was a believer in his Lord Jesus Christ. His faith was strong, and he endured a stroke, a round of cancer...

Eric was born in Olney, IL on July 23, 1973 to Edward and Jean (Williams) Rothrock.
Eric enjoyed running construction equipment, and was a Demolition Derby enthusiast. He was a welder by trade and worked for many large companies in that capacity.
He was a believer in his Lord Jesus Christ. His faith was strong, and he endured a stroke, a round of cancer and another bout of cancer; which ultimately took his life. The final day of Eric's earthly life,
he was alert and shared with his parents, brother, and a host of loving friends about his love for his Savior.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Jonas and Edna Rothrock and Grant and Anna Mae Williams, and his aunt JoAnn Goodwin.
He is survived by his parents, Edward and Jean Rothrock, a brother, Craig (and wife Tammy) Rothrock , a very special niece and nephew; Katie and Caden Rothrock, whom he loved very much, all of West Salem, and several aunts, uncles, cousins and a multitude of friends.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Thursday, November 13, 2014 at 10AM at the First Christian Church of West Salem, IL. Burial will follow at Walnut Grove Cemetery, Parkersburg, IL.
Visitation will be held at the church on Wednesday, November 12, 2014 from 6PM to 8PM.
The family requests that memorials be directed to the Funeral Dinner Fund of the First Christian Church of West Salem, with envelopes provided at the church.
